RadioRat works without an account or proprietary listener database. This policy explains local storage, analytics, external streams, and future advertising controls.
OPEN THE RECEIVER ↗Favorites, collections, listening history, interface preferences, theme selection, and cached station metadata are stored using browser storage such as localStorage and IndexedDB. You can remove this information through browser settings or import and export it from the application.
The application requests station information from public Radio Browser API mirrors. When you play a station, your browser connects directly to that broadcaster’s stream. Those third parties receive normal connection information such as your IP address and browser request details under their own policies.
Nearby mode requests approximate browser geolocation only when you choose that feature. The location is held in the current application session and is used to calculate nearby stations. RadioRat does not send it to an account or database.
The production site loads Google Analytics to measure aggregate visits and product usage. RadioRat removes station and theme query parameters from the page location sent by its analytics loader. Google may process browser, device, approximate location, and interaction information under its own terms and privacy policy.
RadioRat does not currently load AdSense ad code. If advertising is enabled, required disclosures will be updated and a Google-certified consent management platform will be used where required. Advertising will not be presented as a receiver control or station recommendation.
RadioRat does not process payments. Optional support is handled externally by PayPal, and project or correction requests may open GitHub. Those services receive normal connection information and apply their own terms and privacy practices.
You may deny location access, clear site data, use data-saver mode, or use the receiver without saving stations. Blocking a third-party broadcaster or API host may prevent the related stream or directory request from working.
