01

Information stored on your device

Favorites, collections, listening history, interface preferences, theme selection, and cached station metadata are stored using browser storage such as localStorage and IndexedDB. You can remove this information through browser settings or import and export it from the application.

02

Network requests

The application requests station information from public Radio Browser API mirrors. When you play a station, your browser connects directly to that broadcaster’s stream. Those third parties receive normal connection information such as your IP address and browser request details under their own policies.

03

Location permission

Nearby mode requests approximate browser geolocation only when you choose that feature. The location is held in the current application session and is used to calculate nearby stations. World Radio does not send it to a World Radio account or database.

04

Analytics and payments

World Radio currently does not operate first-party accounts, payment processing, or behavioral advertising. If these practices change, this policy will be updated before the relevant feature is introduced.

05

Your choices

You may deny location access, clear site data, use data-saver mode, or use the receiver without saving stations. Blocking a third-party broadcaster or API host may prevent the related stream or directory request from working.
